Turquoise has been one of the most highly regarded gemstones through out history. The metaphysical and healing properties of the stone have been used since ancient times. Turquoise is a stone that was first found in Asia and went through trading routes via Turkey.  The name turquoise came from a French term "pierre turquoise" meaning Turkish stone.
